Can a clogged fuel filter cause low dyno numbers?
My Z06 only has 22k miles and I didn't really think the fuel filter could be bad but today I decided to check it anyway. It was almost totally clogged. I can blow on the inlet as hard as possible and barely barely feel any air coming out the outlet side. I replaced it with a new Napa Gold and it's very free flowing. My car with just the cam and headers dynoed 387rwhp and the A/F was dead on so I doubt a fuel filter could cause the lower numbers but I thought I'd ask.

Don't forget that this is a filter/regulator. 58 PSI is pretty hard to test by just blowing on a filter. A pressure gauge should have been used to get an accurate pressure reading. At 22,000 miles is should not be clogged yet unless you got some really bad gas. Plus you wouldn't be a steady 12.8-13.0:1 with a restriction. Fuel filters should be change around 30,000 miles anyways so you were getting close.

I dynoed my 99 Z with just a few bolton's like full exhaust, ls6 intake and lid it put down 355/365 and was 14.9 lean on the dyno. 1st thing i did was looked at the fuel filter and it was the orginal with 85,000 miles it had the factory undercoating on it. So i replaced it and it felt like a new car. Cheep fix never got it on the dyno with just bolton's because i ended up adding a cam.

To answer the question, hell yes a clogged filter can lower #'s.
To answer the question of probability, it's HIGHLY unlikely. Especially with your car only having 22K on it. I've pulled & cut open the filters on various LSX powered vehicles, at all kinds of mileages and never found one of these mystery "clogged" filters. Unless you're somehow getting junk into your gas tank, there isn't going to be anything coming through the fuel system to "clog" a fuel filter. Through my days or working in service shops, I've found this phenomenon to be more of a marketing ploy rather than it actually happening often.
And if fuel pressure & A/F are both holding strong on the dyno, you don't have any clogs anywhere.
