Bought my Donor car today LS1 Fox swap
Well today I found a MINT 5.0 LX 1990 hatchback that I bought as a roller.
Has a 8.8 with posi diff that was built and has gone 10's
Has upper and lower rear control arms
Front shocks, and coil overs
Has some gauges in it already.
And donor is a 5 speed.
Well, now the fun begins
Looking for an LS1 and T56 to get the swap rolling
The car is light blue right now, but, I have a guy who is going to paint the entire car i.e. engine bay, door jams, trunk for a good deal so I'm picking it up and off to strip.
Any advice out there

Agreed Marc, and that's where I'm headed with this swap.
TwokSS that it close to the factory color. The car I bought was repainted, and is a lighter blue than that. I'm going to go ahead and paint the car black as everyone else does. I've always wanted a black sports car, and quiet frankly black is the only color I truly like on those 5.0's
And MusclePower I'm going to be going for a t-56 swap, so the transmission wouldn't mean much to me. However, pm me a price on the motor, couldn't hurt to dabble with that, although I think I might build the Lq9 in my garage.

I vote LQ9 build! especially if building on a budget is key... Not sure if you have seen the article in a recent GMHT mag but they did a nice stout build of and lq9 that put down decent numbers and would definitely make that stang boogy!
