Default Anybody w/APS TT kit come on in

Does anybody have any dyno #'s on the upgraded kit on a stroker motor? Or what is everybody making with this kit on any set up?This is going on a 6spd 98 street camaro. Does anybody have there frt bumper cut out (where the billet grille goes)so you can see the IC or does the IC sit to far in the back to see it? If so please post up any pics. Maybe under car pics so I can see if it can be done. I want to be able to see the FMIC. I know the IC comes blk but I will get it painted or powder coated. Which would be better painting it or powder coating? Thanks

for the APS kit, the intercooler sits angled and runs behind the bumper support so you will not be able to see it.

Don't think you want to powder coat a air to air intercooler. You want the core to be able to shed heat quickly. PC although not a heat retention coating is thick and will no doubt take away from the efficiency of the core itself.

Best only have a thin layer of paint on it or bare aluminum.

My camaro with a 402 stroker @ 13.5 psi did 730rwhp. That was the old stock turbos and then they actaully went out after that pull. If your thinking of upgrading them, do it now, not after they go out.

I ordered the 427 Upgraded kit. Doesnt that kit have the good turbos? Is there another upgrade I missed?

You got the upgraded kit so its hard to say if you are going to have any problems with your turbos. Just about every person on here has the standard kit. There have been several dynos thru the months on the standard kit. Most have not pushed them past about 12psi due to that inlet tube collapsing thing . You also should not have that problem on your upgraded kit but again a bit early to say.

I think there was one dyno of the upgraded kit seem to remember think some shop has already done it. You should be able to get to 1000rwhp no problem with your kit. About 1100rwhp should be about the max on an m6. What clutch are you going with again?
And better plan on tranny upgrade as well.

So Kwikkar what is your update. Its been months and months. So is your car done and ready soon for some dynos ,etc. Did that company put in 3 inch inlet turbos for you. Are they still tweaked mits 20gs or did they somehow put garetts in there or something else?

Here is good thread and closer to your upgraded turbos rated airflow of 65 pounds per minute. This guy has tested 60 pound per minute ones. Was hoping he will have some more updates for us.

This car is just a 346. The main advantage to the bigger motors is you should be able to get same power levels as the smaller motor at lower boost and of course have more power off boost and more torque and quicker spool up.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...800-901-a.html

Also this car ran two cutouts in front of the ypipe and full normal exhaust. So no real need for true duals.

The company did put 3 inch inlets on the turbos. I'll post up pictures next time I go work on the car. Well the car is not done and what was done now has to be redone b/c it wasn't installed right. IE: BMR TA on a moser 12 bolt. Need to do the brakes, Drive Shaft, install turbos, exhaust, ETC.... It should be a few more weeks before I see the dyno.
