Default 42lb duty cycle of 115% at only 0.5bar - possible?

I made few pulls after installing TC78 to my 383ci. It's non-intercooled as of now, at 0.5 bar. HPT showed that at 6000rpm my 42lb injectors are working at 115%. AFR was 10.8. Is this possible? What power I should be making then?? I thought I have no more than 500HP (crank), but apparently injectors shouldn't be maxed out then??

Very possible with 7.5 lbs of boost through a 383 at 10.8 : 1 AF.....that AF will really work those injectors.

What's the fuel psi? Boost referenced?

My 60# injectors are at 98% duty cycle with 14psi on my 347 and that is at 83# of fuel preasure at 6500rpm MY base is 58psi at idle with a boost referenced regulator.

That matches my buddies LPE Vette. 15psi boost, 60# and 98-102DC at 6700rpm......80's are going in this weekend.

Well I would suggest a Boost Referenced Fuel preasure regulator. It helps take your injectors further. But considering you have a 383 and I am assuming you will turn up the boost at some point get the 60lb injectors aftermarket rails and a BR FPR. When I got my procharger I sold my 42lb injectors right away and got 60's

Oh yes, definitely out of injector, and potentially less fuel pressure with the returnless setup, not to mention the lack of a 1:1 FPR.

So does that mean that I might produce 550-600 crank HP?
I'm thinking more about some 96lb, to be able to run 850-900hp on ethanol... Or is it overkill?

I'm going to run on ethanol to be safer (less chance of detonation), so thinking about 96lb

Well I am making 676rwhp on 93 and Meth I have a Buddy with a Procharged C5 with a 383 making 770rwhp on 93 and Meth.

Are you talking about Running e-85? You will need a lot of pump and bigger injectors as e-85 requires more fuel.

Yes, E85. You think 96lb will not be enough for 900HP on E85?

900 rwhp? Or FWHP? you would be nearing the end of the injector at 900 rwhp and E85. It all depends on pump size, base fuel pressure, and a lot of other little bits, but it should be damn close!

Was thinking about 900@fly, but might as well go for 1000... TC78 is rated at 1100, so maybe 1000 is achievable...
