spendin 2700 on my car tommoro
ok well i jus sold a spare car i had (gst eclipse) so i got 2700 to play with but 800 is coming right off the top to fix my tranny. i have a 79 mercury capri with an 05 lq4 with 50k on it, i wanna build a turbo kit i know its gonna cost a lil more but o well. heres my plan 42# injectors, my pumps alredy big enuf, i alredy have an ebay intercooler, ill grab an ebay piping set and modify, i was gonna grab the ebay 50mm wastegate and a greddy blow off valve my cars an automatic but whatever, im gonna have the exhaust custom done ( my buddy runs an exhaust shop) ill have nelsons do the ecm, heres the important thing tho is a holset hx35 big enough for 15 psi on a 6.0? also im gonna grab the comp turbo cam 54-480-11, arp head bolts, an mls head gasket set, and high rev lifters cuz the engine frequently see's 7k rpm and a set of comp springs good for 650 lift and some titantium retainers. ill grab an ebay digital boost controller and an Autometer wide band air fuel gauge and a greddy turbo timer what do you guys think i wanna have everything ordered tommoro night sooooo input please!! i no i hear alotta bad talk about them ebay t70s which is why id rather do a holsett hx35 but the t70 is bigger and cheaper so idk im looking for boost around 2800-3k cuz i run a 3000 stall convertor

DONT NOT GO ON A SPENDING RAMPAGE as much fun as it is you could reget it
take your time DO NOT RUSH it will bit you in the end
do not do 42lb injectors you will max them fast than you think go 60s you can go far with those
use studs they are better for you block with a better clamping force
a auto will work great for you setup
i hope this will help out and i say again take you time please!!!!!!
for turbos have you look in to Master power turbos?

Turbonetics TC78 .96 housing will spool where you want, and support 1100hp.
Otherwise, go with a t4 frame s400 1.10 AR and you should spool about where you want as well and be about 50 bucks cheaper.
Use truck manifolds if you can
For what its worth, I'll be about 1500 into my turbo kit including a 950 dollar turbo.
Here is how you do it:
Truck manifolds flipped forward - should have gotten them with your motor
Turbo - 800/900 bucks depending what you go with
Ebay Intercooler kit- 200
Truck Flanges - 50
T4/t6 flange depending on ur turbo - 30ish
feed fittings (two -4ANx 1/4" NPT) - 25
Drain flange and fitting - 35 i think
drain line - figure 50
feed line - 50
xo2 racing wastegate - about 150ish
there ya go, oughta be close to 1500.
Add injectors - theres another 300.
It can be done on a reasonable budget
Edit: I also think you need to relax, and do some more reading. You do not need a digital boost controller. A hx35 is WAY too small for your motor.

thats pretty much exactly what my plan was lol but the only thing that kinda kills me is that turbo is big money i was talkin to my buddy with an old school vette with a 5.3l lm7 and he sent me this link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/On-3-...item20afa022ba its the turbo hes running and i wanna use the same cam he says he dynod out at 515 on 15 psi with jus the valvetrain, injectors and that turbo so im looking into that cuz i can definately swing 350 for the turbo he said his is still stropng and hes 1k miles into it they seem like one of the more decent ebay companies they have a real website and videos of their stuff working haha

just one month
As been said already, 60lbs injectors, truck exhust facing forward.
If in a time crunch run no intercooler and spray it with meth.
Or do a rear mount kit on your existing exhust and just run the piping up to your intake and spray with meth. Rear mounts run cooler and with meth youll be fine.
One cummins turbo will not be enough. The older cummins 91-93 have larger exhust turbins then any of the others, 21cm on some being the largest. vs later years haveing 14cm and smaller mybe. Two of them in a front mount setup would work, but you dont have time to wait for two to come around.
If you do rear mount the turbo will need to be sized differently, Ive never campared a cummins turbo vs the specs of a rear mounted turbo but mybe its an option.
If you do a front mount with truck mani's facing forward you will need altanator relocation.
dont forget tunning

are you dead set on a turbo? for that budget you could get a proven head cam combo nitrous and a frost tune. then you will beat him for sure also if hes running a rotary motor hes not gonna beat a bolt on car by much, what are you guys doin racing in rhode island in this kind of weather anyways?

what engine is in the RX7? and a 11.3 is nothing for what you are putting together. but make sure you get alot of track time with to get the bugs out frist.
Bro if i tired to do my car in a month it would of never happened

^^^not to mention its a hell of alot quicker to install and work out the kinks. its possible to work out a turbo kit in a month....... with alot more money, crazy fabbing experience, all of the proper tools (which will cost more than the kit), and a dyno at your disposal
