Default compression with what gas/power/cubes

what are yall guys running...mostly concerned with compression then gas

i was thinking about putting together a mid to high 9:1 motor...ive got a chance to get a block combined with my current heads make it 10.1:1...i think its a little high and id have to run racegas all the time...although im considering racegas all the time...still not sure i wanna go that high...

I just dynoed my junk the other day. 10.8:1 compression, 93 octane, 14* of timing, 10lbs with no detonation at all. Don't be skeered

My builder basically said if you are going to run 9.5 on pump and decent boost levels good to have alc/meth which did just get.
He said 9 to 1 without alc/meth and 8.5 if wanted to run big boost on pump with no alc/meth.
Track can get by with higher as likley would be running race or alc/meth as well.

I was worried car might get doggy if went down on compression and you will lose power as you drop compression off boost and will have less power on boost unless you boost higher to compensate.

i think compression is fine.. alittle high for boost but you see all the ls2 gto/corvettes run 8-10psi with no problems and the compression that they have is 10:9:1.. no meth. i'll be running a ls2 10:9:1 in my 65 chevelle with a gt40 and im going to run 8psi. snd should put me into the mid 500rwhp range
