Default JBA Truck Headers?

Just curious to know if anyone on here is using the JBA Cat Forward headers on LS1 F-body turbo build? I'm thinking about basing my kit around those. Let me know if you have or know someone that has run those headers. My biggest concern is with the clearance between the headers and the strut towers....all input is greatly appreciated....

Damn thats not a bad idea. I havent seen anyone try that. Then again, I dont see why it wouldnt work. Why not just use cheap truck manifolds, the gains between JBAs and manifolds on a turbo setup will be nominal.

I have used it. It does not Bolt on due to clearance to the steering shaft, but I modified one of the primaries to make it happen.

its a header. The number 5 primarie I believe it was, hits the steering shaft.. but for your info, this was in a foward facing configuration.

ive been wondering this for a LONG time, seems like it would be a viable choice, especially since they arent very expensive at all

cheap alternative for a set of customs

Exactly what I was thinking...I don't feel like fabricating my own so this seems like the reasonable way out of the extra work.....clearancing the one primary is a minimal amount of work.....

I used them on a build. Had to cut and reweld one of the primaries to clear the steering shaft.

Not worth it IMO.

It was about 4 years ago that i did version 1.

In the process of building version 2.

Same pipe dream everyone has, ie. AC. no relocation of alternator. Stock K member. Etc.

I have the design. Looks like i should be able to do it.
