Default Flywheel holder necessary?

Im swapping out my blown stock clutch for a Textralia oz700 and Im to the point where Im about to put the flywheel on. The how tos I see show them using a flywheel holder. Is this really necessary? I mean cant I just get a couple bolts in there well and do a criss-cross pattern to tighten evenly?

Shove a screwdriver through a hole in the flywheel and jam it against the block to keep it from rotating.

Just put a wrench on the crank bolt and hold it there

Just put a wrench on crank bolt to keep motor from turning or use an impact if you dare. But the screwdriver sounds like a good idea too, never done it though.

I've always just grabbed the teeth of the flywheel with a rag and held it while a buddy tightens the bolts.

Harbor freight sells flywheel turners cheap, I personally use a snap on one since I'm always knees deep in automatics. Same indea for a flywheel tho ud just hold it in place instead of turning it.
