What Kinda power will i make with a d-1 ls2?
I was wanting to know what kinda power ill be making with my build. Heres a run down of everthing i have....
.....
LS2 gto engine
stock crank
callies rods
4.005 -11 cc dished wiseco pistons
243 heads
factory DBW 90 throttle body
edelbrock elbo
edelbrock super victor efi intake
edelbrock fuel rails
seimens 60lb injectors
Doug headers
D1sc procharger, 3.4 pulley, intercooler
undecided...
I was going to run the stock cam for a while but i heard i could gain upto 60 hp by switching to a forced inducted cam, but i would also like to keep my car streetable... This ls2 is going into my 68 camaro with a six speed also..
let me know what you think thanks

First off go with a blower cam to begin with. I would also look at 80lb injectors. The 60's will work but they might be close to being maxed out. Also, what crank pulley are you going with? That will make a difference in blower RPM. If your maxing out the blower on RPM it should make around 17ish psi and be in the high 700's rwhp range. Make sure you get a good tune. Methanol also would be something to look at if you want to be safer or make more power.

Take a look at some of the builds we did at the old shop, which is no longer open. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sourc...ksxfnA&cad=rja
I agree that you should go ahead and replace the camshaft, this is the cam I recommend. http://shop.brutespeed.com/Comp-Brut...n-Camshaft.htm Bob

Looks like you have some good parts that are going in.. You'll make 700+ to the tires easy with that pulley and motor combo. Yeah I would step up to some 80s to be safe. My 60s are at 94% duty cycle right now and my car made 780rwhp at 16psi with the 3.4 pulley. Only thing different from mine and yours is that I have a LS6 intake, stock TB, and lower compression. You prolly have a bit higher compression with the -11 cc pistons. What size primary headers do you have? Oh yeah, post some pics of the car man. Thats my favorite car. Id love to do a setup like that in a 68 Camaro or any old school.

As of now it has the BBC396 in it with a four speed and 12 bolt.... Im going to the procharged ls2 six speed so i can actually drive it places .. that big block with the 411s did terriable on gas mileage.

Hey this one would have been a turd if you had seen it before. Parts are cheap enough.. you can buy a complete repro floor for 350. I mean you could do the work your self and get it done for alot cheaper and learn some things along the way.
