Exclamation Oil-less Rear Mount & Torquer Cam? Yep...and 711rwhp.

It's nearly 4am and it's been a really long day. So I'm gonna try to keep this as short and sweet as possible. But I couldn't go to bed without sharing.

This is my daily driver '99 C5 M6, factory 110k mile engine, stock head gaskets & head bolts, stock rod bolts, stock TB, stock MAF, LS6 intake, C6 LS3 manifolds, Torquer V3 cam w/111 Lobe sep (not a typo), TSP springs & pushrods, twin walbro's in-tank, 60lb injectors, Snow meth kit, Comp turbo's version of a T78, McLeod Twin Disc, and that's all I can think of right now.

No intercooler (yet), 110 unleaded (cheap insurance), 14.5lbs of boost, 13degrees timing, 711rwhp @ 5900 / 645rwtq, full boost by 3800.

Yes, the clutch slips a bit at peak tq.
Yes, the cam is going to be changed (just wanted to see how it would do).
Yes, it should be intercooled within the next week or so.
Yes, I will have plenty of pics to post up over the weekend.
Yes, we do have video (I'll post it over the weekend).
Yes, I'll post up dyno graphs within the next 24hrs.
No, I probably wont have time to reply to this thread until tomorrow night (technically tonight I guess). Super busy at the shop.

Let the fireworks begin!!!

Power peaking BELOW 6k? How the hell does that happen? The motor will last for ever.

Awesome results. What heads? The peak power before peak rpm is all in the cam, head flow, and a stock 110K mile engine. I bet they just stopped the run there to prevent possibly hurting the motor.

Damn thats really good on that low of boost and timing. I just put down 777whp on a comp turbo but its a 80mm. Mine was at 17psi through a locked auto and 9inch but still. Congrats awesome numbers even if it was a built motor.

I'm still way too busy to actually take the time to reply,
but after seeing this post, I had to make time! So, now that I've picked myself up off the floor, I want to say thank you. I really, sincerely appreciate that. I appreciate all the compliments, but especially yours and Tom's (onfire). Only bad thing is, this may mean the Mayan's end of the world prophecy may come true!! And of all days, on my actual birthday (12-21-2012)!!! Lol

Ok, back to work now. But thanks again, cuz that just made my day.

Stock pistons and rings as well? Maybe there is hope that my motor will live for a little while. Congrats.

Well, we can definitely get you that turbo quite a bit cheaper than that. And keep in mind, you save money and a lot of work by not having to run a scavenge pump and oil lines. No smoking issues, and no cross-contamination between the engine oil and turbo, should either one grenade. And the best part is, it spools INSANELY fast!

Yes. The only mods to the engine internally are just what I listed. The heads and oil pan have never been off the car. The transmission is also untouched, other than the clutch and flywheel. And the rear end is factory original too.

I was trying to post up the dyno graph, but we have Mac computers, and doing good just replying at all. Plus, I'm still at the shop and half asleep. I'll try again tomorrow.

p.s. In no way am I trying to say that I have ANY expectation of the factory engine living for very long at this HP level. But nothing wrong with seeing what it will take.

Very cool. So it's essentially all of the positives of a procharger with not having to worry about running oil feed and return lines, without the parasitic losses associated with them.

Very nice.

yeah that is pretty badass, for sure seems like the better way to go even though it does cost more imo its worth it
