Simple LS Swap Gone Awry (370/LS3 heads/PT88)

Didn't turn out too bad. Not sure if I'll turn it in to insurance or not yet. Looks like all it needs is a bumper cover at most. It could probably just be glued back together and repainted. I have access to a few good body guys... I'll make use of my resources. lol I'm ok with driving it the rest of the year. It pushed out and looks halfway decent again just with some paint chipped off and some cracks, but no one can see that if I stay ahead of them!

Got some bigger injectors this week... Jon @ FIC made me a deal I couldn't refuse on some 1000cc injectors and connectors!
Also bought a 60mm eboost2. Had to do a little cobbling since it was a little small. The 66mm would have fit perfect, but I got a good deal on this one.
I used a lid off of some dog treats, a 3" hole saw, a 2 5/8" hole saw, and a razor blade to clean it up. It fits nice and tight, and with the bracket on the back it doesn't move at all.
The bracket is nothing too pretty, but it will never be seen once it's in the dash.
End result:

Do you have anymore pictures of your exhaust setup under car? I found a couple you had posted in other threads but if you had some better ones that would be great, ha. I plan on taking my car in to get exhaust routed out the back and want to show them with pictures how I want it. I bought the same brand cutout you have, and want it in a similar location. The guy who sells those cutouts is local to me also, so if you have any problems let me know. I met him the other day and talked to him for about 20 minutes. He went over all kinds of stuff with me about his designs and how he makes them. Real nice guy.

The best picture I have right now is the one you already saw. I'll try to take another one for you from the front towards the back since it's actually up on jack stands now, but it's pretty basic really.
Just down from the down pipe to right under the passenger seat where the catalytic converter used to be.
The cutout went where the converter was and modified the heat shield to fit it.
After the cutout there are two tight radius 4" 90° bends to get it over towards the tunnel.
Then a reducer from RPS that goes 4" to 3" to go into a Hooker cat back.
No problems with the cutout yet. The only thing I've noticed is that you have to tap the switch just right to get it to stay closed, and sometimes it comes open at WOT. lol
I read reviews on the different brands and decided his would fit my wants the best. So far I'm pretty happy with it!

Here's the pictures I took for redrocketz28 of the exhaust. Forgot to get them until after I had already disconnected the down pipe, but you'll get the idea.
Pulled the harness to get a couple spare wires out of it and put on the injector connectors for the LS3 injectors. I also pulled off the radiator hoses and re did them out of some aluminum pipe and silicone couplers. They still need to be welded up, but didn't turn out bad so far.
I put on a different alternator relocation bracket from Spoolin Performance that keeps the alternator in the same place, but moved the tensioner down by where the alternator used to be. It looks like it will work better hopefully.
Also found a design flaw in the process of tear down... lol
I just threw in the new inserts and am going to wrap it with some of the exhaust wrap and check it after a while again. Hopefully that solves the problem. If it doesn't I'll have to see if someone will machine me some out of aluminum or something.
Also got some gaskets for the truck manifold collectors. It looked like the copper RTV was leaking in a few places so hopefully this fixes that. Also the EXTREMELY bright pillar gauges need to be dimmed down at night so I bought Autometer's dimmer after finding out that the stock dimmer wire doesn't work with the LED gauges unfortunately.
