I hear ya there. That's a reason I don't like them as well. Also, the two tire choices are ridiculously priced.

That too! I probably have about the same amount in these front wheels and tires as I would have in a 15x4.

Bought the wheels through Jim's Racing Tire. They were $1550 and they provided the lug nuts and valve stems

Most everything is wrapped up except bleeding the brakes now. There were a few hiccups this weekend. One of them being the reason the brakes couldn't be bled...

Cracked flare on the rear brake lines. Found all of the right stuff locally to replace the parts I bought so I can return the kit. Should have just done that in the first place since it was half the $$! It started leaking before we even thought about bleeding the brakes.

Got to see all of the wheels and tires on the car finally though. Much better on the car than off! The panhard bar had a long way to go in these pictures so they aren't quite that tucked, but they do fit under the car pretty well.

Viking coilovers all around. It'll sit higher than that in the rear. Lower in front. We were just checking some clearances at the time of the pictures.

Yep. Once they're on the car they look pretty good!

Tonight I lowered the rear just a tad more and added an awesome bullet muffler dumped before the axle just trying to quick quiet down for this weekend. Suspension is all set. Thinking I should probably add a proportioning valve with these strange brakes in the rear. I tested a "firm" braking scenario I guess you could call it... squawked the rear tire before I even layed into the pedal. But on the plus side of that they hold the car pretty good until about 7 lbs!

Went to the track Friday night and only made one full pass. Did quite a few 1/8 mile runs just trying to get the 60' down. Finally got it to where it wasn't feeling lazy on the launch by turning the 2 step up to 3800 and then made a small adjustment to the shocks before going for a full pass.

The next time I got up to the staging lanes they came to my window told me I had to slow it down. I tried for one more leaving on more boost, but the tires didn't hold the power. Maybe next time.

Left at 10 psi on that one according to the data log. I'm pretty sure there is more in it. This was only the first pass that I had made any adjustments to the shocks. All the other ones I was working my way up on the two step... Should have just set it to 3800 to begin with! I was also wasting my time on the boost controller. For that pass I just put the controller on 18 psi from the launch instead of trying to make it ramp in. Worked like a charm. If I had more time I think I could have dropped the 60' a little more with more boost and adjusting the shocks. I guess I'll have to find out when I go back in the fall.

They did announce over the loudspeaker and come talk to me in the lanes. Just said to slow it down... So I did. Tried for one more pass on a little more boost, but the car spun and it was the end of the night. Tire is a 275 et pro.
