Simple LS Swap Gone Awry (370/LS3 heads/PT88)

Well... since last time I got the front calipers powder coated to somewhat match the rears and got the spindles sandblasted and painted. Then I bought some materials and made my own switch panel for about $20. It's a little crude, but for 1/3 of the price of what I could have bought one for I'm fine with that.
I haven't decided what to do with the 4th switch yet. Maybe I'll use it to flip a fan on manually or something.

Also the rear end housing FINALLY SHOWED UP!!! But I still don't have all of my parts... Waiting on brake hoses and more importantly the correct center section still hasn't shown up. I sent an email to MWC Sunday night with no reply yet. Suppose I'll have to get on the phone tomorrow to see what's going on. Anyways, I got some help from 2001ssboosted who pressed the bearings on the axles and helped get everything mocked up. It wasn't that hard, but something I've never done before so it was nice to have some help.

I also figured out a way to use the eboost2 to ramp in boost off the trans brake button. I'll probably set the button up so I can use it with or without the trans brake for when I would rather use the foot brake. The "launch control" switch on that panel I made will activate the ability to use the Switch Logic feature on the eboost2 and turn on the 2 step. My main goal with that is to be able to get the car to hook on the street off the foot brake. I can't imagine I'll have much of a chance off the trans brake, but I'm sure I'll give it a shot at least once.![Secret2](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/secret.gif)
The only parts I have left to get are the brake hoses, the 3rd member, the wheels, a drive shaft, and (lower priority) order a 2 step before I'll be all set for the season.

I'm hung up on the manual/boost setup now. Maybe after I drive mine and it sucks I'll change. Or after blowing up enough transmissions. Till then, I'll keep with It.

Got the front brakes and coilovers installed this weekend. I weighed the stuff as it was coming out to see the difference. The LS brakes overall are 1 lb lighter per side, but the rotor is 2lbs heavier. The shocks and springs are also 5 lbs lighter per side. That wasn't the goal of these upgrades, but every little bit helps!

Rotors aren't that much bigger but they seem fill out the wheels much better!
The 3rd member is supposed to be here Monday and the wheels should be here Tuesday. Hopefully it'll be ready to drive with all the new stuff by the end of next weekend.

Yeah, I had two main reasons that I decided to go with a wider front wheel. one was because of the reason you are saying. The other reason is because it was hard to find a tire that was rated for as much load as the front of my car weighs. Every skinny tire I looked had a pretty low load rating. I noticed when I borrowed a set of front wheels with MT skinny tires from a buddy that the squatted a little bit even though they had enough pressure in them. I just wanted a tire that could take the load and not look flat. Lol
