Default Fuel System Questions

I'm building a 1997 GMC truck with a 5.3 L33 and TC76 turbo and am trying to figure out what to do with my fuel system. I'll be running dual Walbro 255's in the tank and want to use as much off the shelf parts as possible so I figure 8AN to dual OEM fuel filters to feed each fuel rail. Here's a pic of what I'm thinking.

My initial goal is 700RWHP but the system needs to support 1000 at the crank. Am I on the right track with this?

Now for the injectors, I've searched but can't find the right information. Does the 2005 truck harness have EV14 connectors, EV6 or delphi proprietary? Should I match the injector to the harness or will I find more choices by installing EV1's?

Get rid of 2nd fuel filter...make y connection before rail, each side of y goes to rear of rails, front of rail back thru regulator, return to tank from bottom of regulator. -8 supply -6 return

I would agree with the above.

Fit a proper single fuel filter like Holley, Aeromotive etc etc.

Other than that, the schematic looks good.

Ok thanks. So the OEM filters suck that bad huh? lol

How about injector connectors? Is it best to crimp on a set of EV1's to the truck harness or try to match injector to the harness?

Nothing wrong with OEM style fuel filters...you just don't need 2

always solder the correct connectors to injectors

No idea on the OEM filters, but one filter is easier surely ?

A proper crimp is always preferable to solder, especially in a harsh environment like an engine. Solder is more prone to fractures due to the vibration. You'll rarely, or almost never see solder on a MIL-Spec loom

But lets face it, most people dont have decent crimp tools so soldering is easier and we think it's better.

The reason for two is to guarantee enough flow. I don't see it being that much more complicated and replacements are everywhere. My SS has the OEM since day one and does well.

What flow is the OEM rated to and is it easily attached via -6 fittings ?

I don't have flow spec's but fuel pressure is solid at 500rwhp. Plumbing is OEM
