Default Inconell valves

Hey guys I'm building an engine for FI and recently got my heads done ,valve job and springs installed and a trunion upgrade... And somebody gave me the idea of using inconel valves...what are you opinions on this would I see a dramatic difference from using stock valves? I'm shooting for around 800 whp with a 6.0 and tc7875 .96 ar, I have already spent a lot of time with this project and trying to get it out but wanted to see if the valves are worth it.

Thanks

Have you looked at prices yet? With only a 800hp goal I would not waste money on inconel valves, plenty of guys making that with untouched stock heads.

You can use some factory LY6 Iconel exhaust valves if you want. They can be had for dirt cheap used.

Hp is irrelevant. The heat created from the back pressure on the exhaust valve is what makes any turbo engine "like" inconel exhaust valves. Yes people are using stock valves but is it worth the risk of breaking an exhaust valve and screwing your entire motor up? Fwiw the turbine housing on the turbo is made from inconel steel.

Is this a street car?

If so then no for Inconel, all you need is a stainless 1 piece valve for the street..

About $25 a piece and the valve manufacturers will tell you street car before drag car needs inconel. Reason is do 2 or 3 long highway pulls back to back or 1 10 second pass then wait in line for the next. However I don't believe anyone here has posted a valve failure. That doesn't mean it can't happen but there are many JY engines getting raped and a ringland usually goes before a valve.

I talked with richard at WCCH, he said Inconel on a street is unnecessary. Nobody does 10 second street pulls at WOT, 5 seconds, maybe 6 on the street.. Unless you live in the country.

They just don't get hot enough with street driving

Who is racing in the city!? I spoke with one of the guys at REV. Valves is what they do. He was who suggested street use could use a better valve. He didn't say it was a must. I trust the guys who somewhere in that business have a guy with a metallurgical degree.
Have you ever been in or watched a "Mexico" street race video? Guys will line up run, slow down or stop and do it again 2,3,4 times!
Again I'm not saying the better valve is necessary but don't say it's not ever on the street either. I mean the factory had some Inconel valves some even in old TBI engines for specific use.
