Default lsx intake

Im going to be going with a 427 lsx single turbo build goal of 1000 rwhp or a tad more. Im trying to make a decision on the intake i was thinking of a proflow intake ? Will it be okay or should i spent big bucks for a sheetmetal intake? Dont want to if i dont have to. What would u all suggest. ..thanks

Get a Hogan sheet metal if you do......but completely unnecessary for 1,000 HP.

LOL! Dude, you really have no clue! MIGHTYMOUSE made 1300+whp with an LS6 Intake on 364CID and a T4 turbo! Automagic A.K.A. FR8TRN made 1200+whp on an LS6 Intake! YOU DO NOT NEED and of that **** you just mentioned.

OP, a factory intake will be fine, Cathedral use an LS6, Rectangle use an LS3/LS7(depending on heads).

Relax there trigger........
It was kind of being funny because he mentioned NRE......

And you're wrong......a 16 injector set up would be awesome. Who cares if its only 1,000 RWHP. It's an amazing way to set it up if you have the cash. Don't be a hater of NRE.....
Being able to run around on 91/93 pump gas instead of full time race gas and have race gas waiting in a stand alone tank that starts spraying race gas at 3psi and increases via a boost referenced built-in pressure sensor all the way up to 20+ psi and starts melting the pavement below the car....((oh, ****, I'm losing my mind))............would be AWESOME......

I NEVER said he MUST have a 16 injector set up to make 1,000 RWHP.

"Hexenlord" got the meaning of it.......LOL

......AND....didn't you see my post #3......

My bad man, I'm having a rough day, not fair to take it out on you.

While a 16 injector setup is a nice feature it isn't needed. You can do two MAPS on a 0411 PCM, and switch them for what fuel you run. 16 Injectors, a Sheetmetal Intake, Etc. are all wasting money for 1000whp.

This is what i had made. The money you are about to spend on a set up like you are about to build Iwould spend a couple of grand more and your number 7 cylinder will be very very happy .

Nice intake, I like the LS6 to 1000 or better though as they work great. Also a fabricated intake is not going to make a hill of beans difference in the number 7 cylinder. Coolant corss over is the biggest problem back there. Even when the intake is turned back wards 7 and 8 are still the hottest.

What's the best way to keep 7 and 8 cool?
