Default Meth Solenoid Location

Hey,

Ive had a meth injection kit in the past which was located in the engine bay so I was getting instant meth when I needed it. I have since changed vehicles and mounted the system in the trunk which is requiring me to use a solenoid so I dont leak meth. Anyway, the directions say to put it between the tank and pump...

My question is; Why wouldnt I put the solenoid close to the injection nozzles so I still have meth in the line ready and waiting for the boost to come on? If I had the solenoid back by the tank and pump I would have a delay.

Thanks,

Zak

You could put the solenoid close to the nozzles...indeed it would be the preferred way.

or just use a check valve to prevent flow when not being pumped

Well, the solenoid has more chances of failing than a check valve.

I just run the Alky kit with the check valve at the nozzle.

Ill go with this route then as well. where did you pick up the check valve? I read that mcmaster carr has them but I wouldnt know which to buy.

Are your nozzles in the intake manifold, or just pipework prior to the throttle ?

That will largely dictate the cracking pressure of any check valve used.

I assume the fact you used a solenoid before, the nozzles are in the intake itself ?

Good questions. I have the nozzle in the intake tube... prior to this setup, I again had the nozzle in the intake pipe and never used a solenoid.

As you dont have intake manifold vacuum to contend with, a simple cheap check valve should be all you need.
