Default Looking for a Head recommendation

LS1 Block, 8.5:1, 18lbs boost from F1 Procharger, right now running mildly ported 317 heads. Looking to drop combustion chamber size to gain a little compression and want a whole lot more flow. Looking for an aftermarket head that boost friendly, hoping to make 900whp.

Just about any of them can do what you need out of the box. I've heard to stay away from the Darts though. So I'd probably look at AFR, TFS, Edelbrock or the like. You'd probably have your money best spent calling someone like WCCH to spec a head for you. If you have just a regular F1, you might have some trouble reaching 900. Do you have the d, a, c, r, x or any variations thereof? Or are you running the f1 with no suffix?

How much power does it make now?

Its an F1D, and have had problems the last couple time we have been to the dyno so have not gotten a clean pull on the car, the last time around 5K it started to go lean so we stopped but was making over 600 when we did. The whole fuel system is being redone right now, it had twin pumps in the tank (not sure what pumps, didnt take apart yet previous owner installed) but we think one may be dead, both are on at all times no hobbs switch. Going with a Nasty Performance sumpped tank, 8AN feed to Mangnafuel 750 protuner pump, Magnafuel regulator with boost reference with an 8AN return. Already has 82lb injectors with FAST rails, so fuel shouldn't be a problem again.
Those specs on the AFR heads look great, probably would just need the upgraded springs, once I get the cam specs I'd like to give you a call Bob if thats ok, not for free info just on which to order, with what gaskets, already have ARP head studs.
And I know 900 at the tire is the dream with this setup, but were ready to set the car on fire if it doesn't hit 800 with this setup next week on the dyno.
Also has an NX Express plate kit 50-400 that has never been sprayed yet, I told him were saving that button for when we want to lift the heads.....

Sounds good. You shouldn't have a problem getting over 800 rwhp.

Thanks. Bob

That protuner 750 you are going to want -10 feed and return to keep it cool and happy.

The car was already plumbed with -8 for the feed before, so between that and the fittings being -8 on the pump thats how we decided to go with that size. Will have to see how it goes if I need to up it to -10 I can use the -8 on a few other cars I have to plumb.

And I also have nothing but good to say about the Nasty Performance tank. The fit and finish is top quality. Worth every penny, a cell was not an option for this car and this was the perfect solution.

Do you have any numbers on what your setup makes?

I just need to flush the lines, and change the fitting for the boost reference line and of course the rollover vent came in with a -8 oring instead of the -8AN like it was supposed to be, so I have to grab one more fitting, then the car will be going back to the Dyno this week to hopefully put down a lot better number.

Fuel system is done, now car runs worse than ever, pops, surges and no power...... adjusted the regulator to 58 psi with the boost/vacuum line off, attached vacuum line and it drops to 57 psi. When it sees boosts it increases like it should. 10lbs of boost, adds 10 psi. Would the other fittings on the stock tank that are now disconnected have this affect?
