All depends on the tune. I've been pushing close to 800whp for almost 3 years and lots of people have been doing the same or more.

From personal experience, 700/630 might be too much. I've seen several others on the fifth gen Camaro forum that have had similar experience. Good luck though!

What seems to be the point(s) of failure?

Those who keep their boost sprints brief seem to keep the stock internals together longer, than those who like to see what the top mph of their vehicle is. Bob

Mine is an L92, and on 14 or so pounds of boost I went 148 @ 3150#'s. (Pump gas and 12* timing). Everything seems to be doing good so far.

Mine was pure street car. No long periods of strain. I'd say I'm pretty easy on my cars and they hardly ever get ran hard. Popped a ringland on first run at dragstrip after approximately 18months of similar power.

Many have been lucky like those above ^^^. But I've seen several that pop ringlands around 700.

I'm obviously not lucky. That's why I had my ls3 fixed and sold it for the ATK shortblock. It's also why I'm going to sell my other stock shortblock now before it gets ran in the GTO in my signature.

Maybe it would have lasted....maybe not. If I was going to stay at 6-650 I'd probably not gone forged.

I've went 9.1@151 in the 1/4 with easy launches
In the 1/8 I have ran numerous mid 5's @125mph with a much harder launch. Should be 8.6-7's @155+ once I get back to a 1/4. Stock ls3 short block and heads with arp rod bolts/head studs/ valvesprings and cam. At 14 psi with an 80mm turbo on E85. Guessing I'm around 800-850whp.

Over 20K miles on it. Stock internals and I beat the snot out of it. Good tuner keeps them together.

I can't find it now, but there was a gen 5 Camaro on here with twin turbos on a stock long block that made mid 800's rwhp. Everyone was talking about it being a time bomb, but I think it stayed together for a few years?

I couldn't launch my car (converter too tight) but on a 1.76 60' I went 118 in the 1/8th and 148 in the 1/4. I had a 80mm billet wheel BW, LS9 H.g's, KMJ studs, Tick cam.

I also plan on wastegating it for street driving. 8 psi should get close to 800 rwhp, this is what scares me

DSteck over on Vette Forums just did 925rwhp on a 5th Gen using an S480 on E85, not saying I would trust that. I personally wouldn't go over 750-800rwhp.
