cheap blue washer fluid , i think its 30 methanol .

Ive heard and read more methanol is more power but more water is better for cooling the tops of the pistons .

Plus i drove mine to work whenever its not gonna rain and using boost juice or methanol gets expensive . I put went through 16 gallons of washer fluid last year . Thats how many jugs i saved .

I was going to make my on 50 50 with methanol and distilled water .

Out of curiosity what kind of washer fluid do you run? Running a big Subaru STI tank I bought of one of my evo buddies so trying to keep the cost down with keeping it filled.

If you have any fuel suppliers in your area give them a call and see if the have 55 gal drums of Methanol that they will pump out and sell by the gallon. I have a big Sinclair plant about 10 min away from me that carries it. I stop in with a empty windshield washer fluid jug and they fill it with 100% meth for $5.29/Gal. Then get a Gal of distilled water from the grocery store for $1.25. Pour half the meth into another washer fluid jug and top them off with the water. 2 Gal of 50/50 mix for $7.

Any circle track, 1/4 track, and/or race fuel suppliers should sell methanol by the gallon. It's around $4. It is is much cheaper to buy pure methanol and mix your own.

Long winded video that should have been about 30 seconds long... but this guy breaks it down and does a good job explaining it.

Water/Denatured Alcohol at 50/50.

Works awesome, datalogs show significant temp drops. I may try the washer fluid though since it seems to be popular and pretty cheap.

You can't trust a saturated IAT sensor. The actual air temp is nowhere near as low as the sensor is reporting. Better off spraying downstream of your IAT sensor.

Methanol is cheaper than denatured and works better... Though as said above you're not getting much methanol in washer fluid and your paying alot for it.

I have always ran a 50/50 mix. It depends on the situation, though.

No intercooler and race gas? Run pure meth for lower IATs.
Cast pistons and lots of boost? Run a 50/50 mix to keep the pistons cool.
Etc...

M1 is straight meth. M3 and M5 have additives that make them suboptimal for use in a supplemental meth injection system.

You want straight meth if you can use it.
