Is the inlet hose diameter still going to be 3.75"?

That's pretty awesome. Says the new p1x will support 800hp and d1x 1000hp that's pretty impressive. Maybe I'll have to try a pro charger next time around.

That D1X is said to be moving 1,500cfm @ 63,000rpms...

What are the chances we can get a pressure map for the new D1X?

Just got off the phone with Procharger. The D1SC will be upgradeable to D1X status. They think pricing and details will be available mid-January.

So how does a D1-x compare to an F1-A, and older one.

The F1A has pushes 1575cfm @ 74,000rpms, which is a full 10,000rpms above the D1X advertised max impeller speed.

I wonder if the new D1X still has the quiet helical cut drive gears.

I have my D1SC cranking out 880 on e85. If I can upgrade it and get another 50-100whp I'd be interested especially if it doesn't need to have any pulley swapping.

Supposedly the extra power comes from it being a more efficient drive unit. So if they can do that to the D/P blowers, why not the F series as well. Not that I want or need a F1-X, but more efficiency is free horsepower.... I mean that's what the turbo guys scream.

Not sure how that's possible when the unit is completely different. Shape, size, gears, impeller are all different.

if D1 can just be upgraded to d1x and gain 100hp then count me in as long as cost is reasonable

crazy that procharger is saying the impeller is changed but then it also doesn't require any change to the tune? something doesn't seem right

"The new D1X and P1X are providing customers with anywhere from a 50 to 100 horsepower difference over the P1SC and D1SC– all thanks to improved efficiency in the drive systems. ProCharger went in and changed the design of the impeller and compressor housing to really fine tune this product. Dave explains how simple it is, “For the guys that are looking for a little bit more power but also don’t have to make a pulley change, so for instance, say you have a guy that’s making 8 pounds of boost on a Mustang and he wants to go up in power, he can purchase a P1X, keep the same pulley, keep the same tune, but free up more horsepower.”

Tune will need to change in regards to more fuel but I doubt anything else as long as it still has no sensed knock.

I'm just excited to see that Procharger is still thinking about the street, sub 1000hp guys. Sure, it's great to see the F2, F1-x etc improvements, but for street guys who are looking to retain the smaller size D1 and P1 units, but get some more horsepower out of them, this is good news.

I guess theoretically if the only improvement driving hp was less parasitic loss from the blower transmission then no tune change would be required but that sounds impossible and incorrect based on what procharger is stating so looking forward to Bob providing more info here.

I can't for the life of me understand why they underrate everything so bad. For example, they rate the F1x as being a 1300 hp blower, chastise anyone who spins it beyond that power level and has problems, then hails the guy who makes 2000+ with it if it doesn't break.

It makes it really hard to pick a blower, especially now with all the new line up shaking things up so bad.

For such a good blower company, you'd think that they would be on the forefront of helping customers and providing solid info about their blowers. They are far beyond anyone knocking them out of the market by publishing all the helpful data they have accumulated but keep top secret.
