Default LG's G5XB cam?

Hello

I currently have the G5x3 cam, but I am looking at adding a blower and need a good blower cam. I know LG's has the G5xB but I don't know anyone using it. So if you are please let me know your thoughts on it.

Thx

Why do you think the G5X-3 wouldn't be a good blower cam?

I have been told by several people that the G5x3 cam was just to big for a blower.

i am in the same boat as you right now, this is what i was told. you can call comp cams 5 times in a row, get five different people, and all five people more than likely will tell you five different cams to run with a turbo car. you are going to make power no matter what by adding a blower/turbo. not as much as you would if you had a so called "blower" cam.

I guess G5xB is not meant for Blower rather than Big cubes engines meaning 427.

Well I went ahead and put one in. With the G5x3 my numbers were 431/395 with the xB they are 417/387. The car drives awesome, with next to no cam surge. Alot easier to drive than the x3 (not that, that is bad at all). This is almost like driving a stock car (almost!!) except with a ton of power. I put the A&A Vortech kit on my 04 Z and with the xB cam dynoed 587/512 @ 6300 rpm. It would have made over 600 rwhp but we set the rev limit to 6300 to keep it safe.
