Procharger
I was wondering if anyone has or know anyone that has ran a procharger with 10lbs on a stock rear end and a stock (rebuilt) 4l60e for a couple of months. That is of course not beating on the car. I was wondering because my buddy just installed a procharger with a 10 lb pulley but hes on a stock rear and a rebuilt tranny with just a converter and an upgraded flexplate. Hes not going to beat on his car until he gets a new rear and tranny but wanted to know if just driving around with it would be asking for trouble.

He's gonna kill one of the two in short time. I ran both, but in upgraded form (althought still "stock" as compared to aftermarket). The tranny lasted two years, the rear end is still holding up, but I think it's gonna be retired after this year of it makes it.

Kaneman here in Vegas is running 650ish 15+ psi on a stock 10 bolt and an M-6. He is having clutch issues but tthe rear is holding. I think he has the G80 option also. Not sure what gears he has. Maybe he will chime in.

I would say if he takes it to the track he is asking for it, and as long as he doesn't run the **** out if on the street he will be okay... its hard to stay out of a boosted car for the first time though the gas pedal seems to want to be pushed more for some reason

If your buddy takes it easy on the car, he should be okay until he swaps them out. I have seen bone stock cars break a 10 bolt, it all depends on how the car is being driven. Bob
