I have a 5lb spring in my wastegate, and I am going to run an electronic boost controller, when everything is installed, when I turn on the boost controller will it be at 5psi or will there be some guess work involved???

reverse splits are good for turbos.

when u hook up the BC...and u turn the boost off/down to the lowest setting (for my Eboost this would be setting 00)...it will go off the WG spring 5psi in yr case.

the profect should have a instructions manual right? also im under the impressuon that the profec when it is first started up puts boost to 0 automaticly, so ur boost will be wtvr ur spring is set for also the profec should have a mas boost limiter that u can set for safety

so if the profec b puts it to 0 and my wastegate has a 5lb spring, i will have to just add 3lbs on the profect to come to 8lbs of total boost, am i right?

no..u would set the BC to 8psi...

cause anything less than 5psi you dial in on the BC will be negated by the WG spring 5psi.
