Default Look At What Im Wanna Do To The K Member

hey guys im gonna run my passenger feed and downpipe by under the cross member with oval tubing for the most clearance but now i wanna know if i can cut the stock k member and then weld around the cut heres a pic

im not to sure if this would work but have you ever thought about getting a tubular k member? im sure this will give you more than enough clearance. if your a on a tight budget then i understand the reason for this. i just dont think id wanna cut the k member but thats just me.

im sure it is fine... and im really sure it would be strong if you went back and welded in some plate.

But i would personaly jsut go to a tubualer crossmember if the room is that big of a deal.

im just trying to save as much as possible when i recover some money i"ll buy a tubuluar k member.i will weld plates around the whole cut for strenght,so im going for it.i will be done like in 4 months,and i will post all kinds of pics

you could come out of the turbo and split into duals. This is out of twins, but the clearance is pretty good.

yeah getting closer bboy may rebuilt the motor though.hows rev-x doing?and yes i will reinforce the cuts thanks alot guys cant wait to im done looking for 400 rwhp for a while till i can afford atleast a rear end, then 500 rwhp that the max i'll go on the t-70,then a turbonetics tc 76 and reach my goal of 600 rwhp done

what headers did you use? I would have ran the drivers pipe where the alt is/ was. Thats how my PTS kit is.

I was wondering if someone had tried this to retain the AC. I have been dying to get ahold of an Fbody to fab a kit for.
