Default more boost

hey guys.. i am buying a d1-sc for my camaro.later down the road i may want to up the boost level for more power.to go over 8 lbs of boost what do i need to do to the motor to handle the extra boost.

Forged pistons and rods, all new bearings, new rings, the block will need to be slightly bored, the the rotating assembly needs to get balanced and then the shortblock put together. I would add ARP head studs while you are at it. Bob

well the good thing is they make machines to do it so you dont have to do it by hand. it's not much more work than tearing it down and reassembling it. have you tried the search button for more information?

Actually, it get honed. You need to have a machine shop do the hone job and install new cam bearings, plus have them balance the rotating assembly. Bob
