Best location for WG?
Where is the best location for the WG? I thought someone said 18"s. Would that be from the header to the WG? Or from the WG to the DP?? Or from the header, thew the WG, to the DP??? Or does it even matter? Ive seen so many differnt set ups, and all of them seem to be differnt.

The exit pipe from the gate should merge into the DP about 18", or as close as possible to that length.
The reason being, the turbulence created by the WG flow, going into the DP flow, is minimized.

Thanks Old Geezer! I was wanting to run a pipe from the collector to the WG, to a location that would make it easy for me to change springs. Is there any ill effects in doing that?

Depends on what you mean by “best.” How about wherever the wastegate that you have gets the job done?
Where is it going to be most effective… inline with the exhaust flow in the exhaust manifolds… of course, that is also where the turbo turbines will be the most effective. Not sure what the deal is with the 18”, but I suspect that it’s just a rule of thumb that someone came up with at one point not really based in anything. If you are going to return the wastegate outlet to the exhaust (which will not be the most effective way to run it) then returning it to the lowest pressure/fastest moving area in the exhaust that you can find. Something like what the use for PCV evac setups would be pretty trick.
