Get a bulldog piggyback for it and you will pick up tons of HP and TQ. Makes towing even more fun

You won't regret it KP. I have an 06 2500HD LBZ Duramax to DD and tow my GTO with! It was definately worth the extra coin over a 1500 series truck. I love beating up on the little guys in this truck too. Highway is fun!

It goes pretty good I'll say that, I bought a 07 Yukon XL 3 weeks ago to replace my 05 1500 pickup and I was very disappointed with the Yukon. Nice truck, no room for a 6'3" guy like myself (I guess they mad that big giant SUV for soccer moms) and not a very good tow'r in the mountains. At least I can pick up a small enclosed trailer now, I was looking at 12,000 aluminum trailers so the Yukon could struggle with it so I'm like, why not just buy a bigass diesel pickup and a 5000.00 enclosed instead

I dont think I'll be doing any programmers or anything just yet LSs1Power, seems to move out pretty good stock but I'm sure I'll want more when I get used to it in a few days. This thing is quietest diesel I ever heard, you would swear its a gas engine driving around..

I have a PPE programmer on mine with the second stage and man what a difference it made.

KP... fill me in on where I can find an enclosed trailer for $5000. And please tell me I don't need a 5th wheel style hookup for it!

Few local trailer dealers here sell 24' cheapies for 5-5500, especially now in the off season. I dont need anything nice, just a drivers side escape door and thats it.

first hit on eBay when I put in 'enclosed car hauler'

You can find them cheaper, there is a guy in Douglas selling them for 4700.00. Only option I like to have is the door on the left side so I can drive the car in and get out of it

Nice truck KP. My 2004.5 LLY had the full MBRP exhaust and Edge/Attitude on after 500 miles. Trust me, as good as it feels right now, running low 14s in a 7000 lbs tow vehicle with two mods will put a smile on your face.

HP Tuners has been plenty of fun to play with on the truck too.

Do you know when you start running into tranny problems with the Allison? Around a certain ET or Power level?

I'd be worried that I'd need a Suncoast if I ever got a diesel running high 13's/low 14's

Damn, that was fast. You weren't kidding were you? LOL

Good looking truck. It looks just like mine, except mine is only the 1500HD.

Quick Reply: Congrats, all you guys finally convinced me to buy a turbo
