Default F1-C is here...

And it is HUGE. It looks like we need a custom radiator with an opening in the lower right corner to clear the elbow. Also most likely the Elbow with filter will need to go straight forward until the intercooler to clear the frame.

Thanks to Bob at EPP for the good service again.

Here are some pics that show the clearance issues we need to overcome with the F1-C mounted. I think A/C is really out of the window now unless we can find someone who can custom make a A/C condenser.

I'm so glad you got it! These cars came with A.C.? lol I'm sure you'll be able to find a shop that can custom make you an a.c. condensor. Bob

Not that I have used A/C in this car in my current area.... Im more worried about the new location im moving too.... 100-110 degrees in the summer lol.

We are thinking about cutting the whole radiator support and replace it with a solid beam that give us better clearance. Most likely the elbow with filter is going to head towards the front middle of the car.

I think all you have to do is cut the tabs on the lower side of the radiator and move it forward. The a/c condensor goes with it. It will even fit with the aftermarket radiators that are 3in. thick. Don't loose your a/c. there is no need to, unless you do not want it anymore.

Be prepared for lots more power to come on lots faster! I swaped from a D1SC to an F1C on my GTO and it was a retarded difference!

Good Luck and enjoy.

I sold the F1C and am moving on to twin turbos now...

We are going to try the HKS filter before we go ahead and hack the front of the car lol. Hopefully it will fit and flow well so I can start driving this thing.

The HKS fits perfectly with plenty of space left for a thicker radiator. Here are some pics

Wonder if that filter would do well on a D1SC? Takes a lot of the other stuff out of the picture.

It can be used on the D-1SC, but u will need a coupler that goes from 4" to 3.75" or so because thats what the D-1SC inlet is.

When we put everything back together we will do a dyno run with and without the HKS filter to see how much we are losing. If its in the 20-30rwhp range I will be happy with that. Thinking about those Single turbo supras pushing 900rwhp through this filter i think we wont loose much from it.

We also have a plastic 4" 90 degree elbow with 4" radius coming on the 2nd of JAN. We will try it with a 11" K&N filter and see how well it flows compared to the HKS.

The F1c and the F1r are identical in size and step up ratio. It's just that the F1 c impeller design will bring the boost in a lot sooner than the F1r. And you can also spin the F1c a little more than the r.They say that the F1r brings all the boost in up top and when it hit's hoold on.I think the info is correct.
