Default Turbo guys

What do you use to protect the spark plugs wires when they are touching or very close to the exhaust manifold or headers?

Fire Sleeves......
Like this....

I still burn one even with these every once in a while..... Im not worried though.....
Thats why i keep a spare one around.
To me its worth it to burn one once ina while to drive what i do around everyday.

I think the solution would be running 90 or 45 degree boots to clear the manifolds/headers. MSD and MOROSO makes them i think.

I run the MSD wires w/DEI boots as pictured above then zip tie them to the coil bracket to pull them off and away from the headers.

See the prob with that is the shank of the spark plug wire isnt long enough with a 90 degree boot so they wont seat all the way on the plug in our car... i tried... and it really wont work with a fire sleeve.... it wont even go on and the wires melt even faster......

Ahh the beauty of Truck manifolds....stock length wires with no chances of burning

J/K'ing guys. DEI also sells heatshielding of various diameters in 3ft rolls. That should be able to cover most custom length wires. I have it on my oil drain line and it works pretty damn well.

They have good stuff of their website. I might try few things from there instead of getting a 90 degree boot.

I had to run the heat sleeves as shown above AND put heat wrap over them.

I'm running the same set of MSD truck wires that I ran with the blower setup. I have never used any sleeves and am not using any right now.
