Default Tuning a Turbo car on a non load dyno?

I have an 04 GTO 6 speed with a Gen TTR twin turbo kit. I am just about done dialing all MY VE table in. I plan to run about 8psi on this block. Its a 2 bar speed density setup. I am about to start tuning my PE. My question is can I safely tune my car on a non load dyno? I really dont want to be doing 3rd gear pulls to 110 on the street its just not safe. The dyno is a dynomite dyno. Its the only one we have in Corpus Christi. So its my only option. They have had quite a few turbo cars on the dyno but a few of them have a hard time getting there turbos to spool. My Turbos are KKR 380s so they are fairly small.. Do you think I would have any major issues? I know to start super rich and take away fuel but I know my a/f will be off on the street but I cant remember which way it goes..

Any experts care to chime in?

Thanks much

why not drive into houston and use one of the mustang dynos at one of the various shops? Not sure if MTI has a mustang dyno but Conleys performance and HPE have one.

I tuned on the street for awhile before going to the dyno.
if its driven on the street shouldnt it be tuned for the street?

lots of neighborhood driving to get low end stuff right, then slowly work up.

mine spooled 400rpm late on a dynojet and the A/F went fat after 5000rpm

the ability to datalog made tuning alot easier.

well I got all my low rpm stuff handled.. I am just weary of going WOT on the street.. It is a street car but that doesnt mean I street race..

As for driving to houston.. No tme.. I have a GTO shootout this weekend and I have to have it done.. So.. I guess If I gotta do some WOT pulls in 3rd gear.. I better do it with one of my police buddys in the car with me.. lol.

If you are tuning speed density, and do it the way they reccomend you to set up the boost portion of the ve table it will be rich. You can take the car for 1-2 wot runs and log it, come back and take fuel out and go again. Get a passenger and have him let you know if it goes lean at all.

thats exactly what i did.. my PE is set at 1.13 and my be is set at 1.30 accross the board.. I will aim for 11.50 A/F.. Just wondereed about the dyno if I do decide to put it on there after its tuned should I just add some more fuel then take it back out when im done dynoing?

If anything a mustang dyno will be dead on and a dynojet would be richer....
