O-ring block leak water??
Has anyone ever had their freshly oringed block leak water into one cylinder (a lot) before the first start up?
Can someone change my title to " Blown head gasket director" ? I can get them to leak before inital start up!

Funny!
I'm trying to find out if anyone else had the same thing happen and the retorque program work for them. I'm trying to get encouraged about this. I'm about to go and do it.

I take it you sprayed them up with some kind of sealer? Welcome to the wonderful world of copper head gaskets/o-rings..
Take them off, check everything out, if it looks OK sparay them up and try again - order a couple of these (first item on the page) in case it doesnt work the second time

I'm not worried as much about the water leaking in the cylinder at 0 psi. I'm more worried about the 1700 psi of cylinder pressure trying tp get out of the cylinder. If water can leak in NOT under pressure, how can it seal up under pressure? I'm not convinced the sealer is going to cut it.

Id imagine after it warms up teh block and head will exapnd a lil and help clamp it down even more? My buddy went crazy with copper gaskets on his turbo 2.3 ford. Seems to be the nature of teh beast. Hell to get it just right, but once you do itll contain a nuclear bomb damn near.

Water can find its way into places.. I have had a dozen or so engines with copper gaskets o/rings so I know the drill. Its possible something may be wrong as well, crack between the receiver groove and water jacket or something else. Thats why I would take it apart and inspect that cylinder very closely and try again. One you warm it up and retorque it should seal a little better.

I'm going to pull the head, I didn't put it together. I'm not going to feel good about it unless I pull it off and at least take a look. I don't know why the other 7 are sealing fine, that's what makes me wonder about this one. It just doesn't seem right.
