With anything above 7psi we highly reccomend to key the crankshaft to the balancer. 12-15psi would spin the balancer and cause damage to the snout.

the thing spun my bolt loose. Use a Pin kit. Its hella easy and it works. The tension from the supercharger pulley puts a ton of stress on the damper. And if you have about 500 horses you will ruin alot of things., I called jake a million tme when i did my pin. ( i dont know why its hella easy)

Mine just spun my balancer off last week--It came off and hit my A-arm, muffler, rear GM ZO6 wheel (which was destroyed), runied my balancer and my ATI crank pulley. Real good time. If that happened at the track I could have died. Lesson learned the hard way-$1000 damage in parts alone at the shop cost, plus many hours of my time. My engine builder did not key my crank, or pin it, and now I'm left beating my head against a wall. Everybody should read this story and learn from my mistake/lack of knowledge about what was done to my motor. It's back running now, keyed/pinned/ and 100 tubes of lock tite!!!!!

I pulled my bolt out by hand from not pinning it. Good thing the balancer was still intact. Definetely get it pinned quick. A broken belt can massacre your engine built when it gets out of line.

Yes do it!!! I ruined the snout of my crank entirely at 12psi on a d1sc.
