Question Intake manifold for FI

I tried to search multiple times but it keeps timing out for me.

Should I stay with the stock ls1 intake or spend the $ on a LS6 or weiand?
I've heard that the FAST's like to break on FI applications.
Do i need to go with aluminum for precautionary measures or will the ls6 work just fine?
Is there enough of a gain by changing the manifold or should i just save my $ for something else?

Doing the supporting stuff before i put a D1SC on it and run 8-9lbs, someday going to try and max out the psi.

So who is running what for an intake?

LS6 would be fine. Higher boost levels we often switch to Carb style intakes which seam to work well.

I know the LS6 / FAST is the defacto when upgrading na but wasn't sure when you introduce boost.

I went with a Vic JR only because of what slowhawk said. For high boost levels. What are your goals later down the road?

right now i'm looking to hit 500 or so, but who knows after i get my first taste.
I do see it getting up to the 600-700 range. I got a ride in a 580 horse vortech supercharged lt1 camaro and that thing was amazingly fast
At what point are you guys changing to the carb style intake?

LS2's have done fairly well with FI applications too just not NA ones. It is also cheaper so you could do that and upgrade to a carb style once you really start making boost!

As I have tested 1s6/vic jr at lower boost level (10 psi), go with the ls6.

umm, the LS6 intake has been in the low-8's and has seen 30psi ...so even over 10psi, I'd still run the LS6 intake.

If you have a stroker and want to run a good amount of boost I would go with the vic jr.

ls6 hands down. There are people that have gained hp up top with the victor jr and then there are people who have lost power with it so if you want proven power go ls6

IBZ34's dyno thread was very interesting comparing the carb to the ls6.he had to pull alot of fuel to get back his 12:1 a/f.so it seems worth it to me to sacrifice 10-15hp to even the air flow and to get better gas mileage

We use the LS6 intake on a lot of higher boosted builds. Check this one out.
