Teaser video of Whipple 3.3L in C5 Z06
Here is a little teaser video of the car idling and revving.
I had just washed the car, so there is some water in the tailpipes and on the engine.
In the engine shot video, the vacuum pump is making most of the noise
The video from in the car is with the passenger's door slightly open. windows up.

Just moving slowly at this point...6.5 psi 543rwhp/532t @ 9.4 afr!!!
The run on the dyno was just a tuning run, checking things out
Will only shoot for 600 rwt and whatever the hp goes to, due to clutch and stock bottom end.
then, if things go well, in goes a forged 346 and stronger clutch..shoooting for 800rwhp/800rwt or better.

The following is from the original thread on this forum .This was posted on Friday 8-18-07
Details: (for those not following my project)
2003 Z06 Ls6 stock bottom end, afr 205's (out of the box), LG G5X1 cam, Kooks 1 3/4 and Borla 2 tip stingers. WITh CATS and all smog equipment hooked up and functioning.
These are 3 runs that I managed to get in late this afternoon. You can see how I am moving extremely slowly and monitoring a lot of things as I go, so NO BIG numbers just yet.
Setup was:
4 to 6 PSI sc pulley (shows 6.5 psi on dyno and 7.5 on road)
12 degrees total timing
97F ambient (Probably well over 100F in shop no ac, 2 floor fans blowing at car)
AFR's on MY wideband were in the LOW to MID 9's. The dyno sheets show a point leaner, which is normal when checking before and after cats.
Please remember, these are INITIAL results and you can see how things are moving as I lean it out a bit at a time.
Also, this is on a Dynomite dyno, not a dynojet
Final pull was around 545 rwhp/532 rwt, SAE corrected
Sorry that we didn't move the cursors to the peak hp and torque numbers, we were in a hurry to go home.
I will be going back either tomorrow or Tuesday looking for some MORE serious numbers.

Curious as to what it would be if you started the run at 2K RPM?

I was having lean out problems when whacking the go pedal, so I eased into it. problems solved now, so Tueday the new numbers should show from 2k.

umm.... there is no curve in that torque curve. I call B.S.!!!!! Impossible!, must be cg'd!
nah, looks and sounds amazing! If you don't mind, did you have to do any kind of unusual modifications when installing the blower of was it pretty much straight foward?
