im not quite sure you can just "trade" them like that..... dont you have to get the wheel balanced again or something?

I talked with a tech at STS, and he said it should just swap over....

Housings can be swapped without any balancing needed. The housings are not part of a rotating assembly.

housings can be swapped over, given your turbine wheels are the same sizes and its the same family of turbos i.e t3, t4, GT, etcc

I went from a .70 (full spool at 2500) to a .96 (full at 3500) and now a .81 from forced inductions. IMO its the best of both worlds. Spools pretty fast (between 2800-3200) and doesn't fall on its face on the top end. They also support a good amount of hp.

Any T4 tangential vband housing (turbonetics, garrett, masterpower) will fit on a 60-1 or T67. However, the masterpower units are not as wide so you have to move your downpipe over slighly to meet up with the vband flange, which isn't a problem for STS cars. I would still recommend a garrett or turbonetics housing though over a MP

That's not quite true. It has to be for a P-trim turbine wheel. There is a T4 tangential vband housing thats an O-trim turbine wheel that that is SMALLER and housing for it will not fit. Ask me how I know

P-trim was assumed since it was for STS, but yes that is good point for those unfamiliar

ebay has turbonetics housings and you can always give forced inductions a call. I went through them for my garrett needs
