Stock LS1 + MP T70?

Stock LS1 + MP T70?
Think a stock LS1 would have a problem making 500-525rwhp(through a th350) with an MP t70? Probably a truck manifold setup and a standalone with a speed-density tune. Already have a good drivetrain and a killer fuel system.
I was either going to run a stock LS6 intake, or a carburetor intake converted to EFI. The latter would probably work better with the turbo. Also possibly go to a set of stock 6.0 heads to drop the compression.
Anyways, any ideas or advice as far as the setup goes?

I wouldn't go with a standalone for just 525rwhp... I would keep a stock computer and use a custom OS... I think that you could easily make 525rwhp with that turbo if it's tuned right... Just make sure to get 60lb injectors for good measure because you can run up to 800rwhp thru a six speed... As far as the intake I would go with the carb intake if you're not on a budget and the LS6 if you are... It's really up to you.. What is this going into??

The car in the signature.
I was gonna megasquirt it. For the price I'd pay for LS1 edit or something, I can put the megasquirt in with cash to spare. And either use EDIS or just the MSD box(the one that is programmed via a laptop, not that one with the timing pills) to control spark. I was figuring 60-72 lb. injectors.
As far as the intake, LS6 would probably be the best idea. I'm not going for huge power. Plus I could run a flat hood and get rid of the huge cowl I have now.

I'm glad to see that there are others that think same way that I. I'm gathering some parts for my -78 Fairmont stw for LS1+T56 conversion. My plan also is to use megasquirt and first go as NA but in the future put turbo on it. I have one new b&w S400 with 75mm compressor and a/r 1.10 T6 turbinehousing (turbinewheel also 75mm minor diam). What do you think, is this S400 too big for my otherwise stock LS1, should I change it to i.e. T70?

I ordered mine for my earlier project which had stock 360 mopar but didn't have a chance to test that spooling. Dave who sold that turbo to me said that it will be good in 360 if I keep rpms lower than 6500, and it should spool in at +2500 rpm. Guess I just have to try it...
