Default Flipped GTO manifolds on an F-body

Has any one tried using flipped GTO maniolds where the outlets would face foward above the valve covers. I was thinking with a little machining of the flanges that go against the heads they may fit. I've seen custom headers this way but was looking for a easier solution

I want to leave the cats in the stock location with 2 gt35's and run the downpipes for each turbo where the stock cats are.

I've never personally seen flipped GTO mani's...But plenty of people flip truck manifolds. As long as those don't have any clearance issues they'd work fine.

I know a lot of people flip the truck manifolds, but they point the outlets downward, I'm wanting to see IF I can have them upward.

I think they will work... I am going to try and see if I can use them on my GTO and still have A/C and keep everything in the stock location. Us GTO guys have alot more room to play with on the side.

Might want to also talk to ls1turbo about selling there little adapters they have on the GTO's cause there using the stock mainfolds with the adapters.

I am thinking that they will be too wide when turned upside down. Probably will hit the inner fender. Of course; solid motor mounts and a BFH could fix that .

I got some pics I will post later. On a GTO its going to be hard becuase the frame rail is close. I should be putting the motor in today. I know there is someone who had a GTO header on the passenger sided and a fliped truck manifold on the driver side and running a single like that.
