I honestly think there is no point at all to put an F1 on a stock motor. The F1 head unit itself is like 3500, if you decide to go f1 you'd better have a built motor to put it on. Just throw on a D1SC and a good exhaust system youll be happy with that. F1 requires fabing up to fit well in the engine bay also so if your gonna go F1 make sure you have the $$$ too.

Well, first of all, there is no more modification for an F1 than for a D1. I went from a P1 (same housing as a D1) to an F1 and it bolted right up, and I still had room to put the hat and filter on. Now as far as putting an F1 on a stock motor, I say go for it! You'll just have an excuse to build a better engine up sooner than if you had went with a D1! And then, sky is the limit as far as how big you want to go with your engine. You won't have much restriction if you want to build a big cube monster

i am in the process right now of putting a intercooled f1r procharger on my camaro.i am building a fully forged lsx block for it to with six bolts heads to avoid pushing water.i would build the motor first if you ant to even put on a regular f1 first.!

The biggest most will go with on a stock motor will be the D1SC. On a stock motor the F1A will use too much power to turn it due to the step up ratio. The D1SC will provide enough power on a stock bottom end to blow sh_t up.
I was having a hard time deciding a few months back between the F1A or the D1SC.

It does have a bigger step up ratio.

Not sure if that really equates to more area under the curve since they are both linear, and it would really just be the equivalent to changing the pulley size...
