Default What Procharger should I run

I have a Nova, and I was going to just put a big shot of N2O on it, but now I am thinking of doing a Procharger. The motor is going to be a 383 with a carb. What kit should I run, if I go Procharger? Also I would like to run a min of 15lbs.

Thanks for you time

That I have no idea of for carbs, do some researching on prochargers site or pm bob at EPP. For ls1 comparisons it sounds like you need the F1A though.

I have seen them. Im not sure of any nova forums but take a look at some chevelle ones and you will find those setups. That is what I plan to do with my 71 chevelle I currently have a 383 just dont have enough funds right now between the two cars I will be going with a D-1. Good luck.

We have made 757 rwhp with a D-1SC, but it was maxed out which creates a lot of heat. I would go with the F-1A ProCharger, check out my car here.

ATI ProCharger does indeed make kits (http://www.procharger.com/chevy.shtml) for the small block Chevy with a carb, give me a call at 260 244-4808 for a great price. Bob

I was going to talk to you about that when you called. An F-1A works great on engines up to a 408, while going up to a 427 engine will limit boost to approx 15 to 16 pounds, depending on which camshaft is used, etc. With a 502 the F-1A would be further limited, and an F-1C or F-1R would be a better blower to go with. Now the problem occurs if you install one of these larger blowers on a 383, as the minimum boost you'll see will probably be somewhere around 12 to 14 psi. With a built engine, it wouldn't be a problem, and be prepared to see some serious horsepower. Bob

Thank for all your time I will be calling after X-mas. I think I may pick one up with my tax
