Default AEM EMS for GM?

Anyone using one for their turbo setup?

Some guys in my town use them to tune their setup.

Just wondering what people thought of them.

Dave uses a Modded Honda PCM for his car,

I think I have the Only GM plug and Play EMS, i haven't seen anyone else using one. I've Played with the AEM software in the past with my old evo and it's very user friendly.

It's is very expensive, but it is plug and play.

I have the 1220 Computer. It is Plug and Play from AEM, it uses the stock wiring harness and goes into the stock location. I did not have to modify it in any way.

In the import world, AEM and Halltech are pretty much the best ems, or Standalone. I was not aware of an Aem option for a ls1, but i would be more interested in the aem, then something like a bs3.

How much did it cost you for the whole aem setup?

i wonder what would be needed to make it work for a 98. probably all the stuff needed to pin a 98 car for a 99+ ecu....

Still very interesting.

Sucks though cause im a 98 also.

AEM had been reportedly been working on an LSx application, not sure where that stands.

BS3 FTW!

I looked at them....biggest drawback is they can not fire Low Imp injectors...still requires a converter box...might as well use EFI or HPT.

Not entirely true, it can fire low impedance injectors without a box even though it is not recomended 99% of the people running low-z injectors with the aem box do it without a Driver.

Will it run 16 injectors?

If I outgrow a stock pcm, it's going to be a BS3 with staged injection (93 for street, and C16 for high boost, just like W2W did on thier powertour car.

After talking to Ryan one of the Head Tuners and Dev at AEM yes you can run staged injection, but it has to be done as a batch fire system so it makes things a bit more complicated when having to deal with injector phasing not to mention the modifications that will have to be made to the wiring harness.
