it will work fine as long as you limit the boost to 8lbs or less with large wg.

Go with the GT45F-78, much cheaper then the DBB version and will put down 1000rwhp.

i have the gt42-76 1.12 ar.
I dont see how people can say it should be fine to 8 psi or so... 8 psi is cool with a tc76, but with a s91 8 psi is not gonna be cool. People usually say stock ls1's are safeish to around 500 whp. Id imagine 5-6 psi from a gt45 is about all that i would do safely on a stock ls1. And the turbo is going to be barely working at that point. I understand the idea of doing a nice turbo that doesn't need to be upgraded then doing the motor down the line, but the turo will spool on the slow side, and on a tc76 you can easily hit 700+ to the wheels.. Id say figure out what you want and go for it. If you had a built motor get the gt45

Just my 2 cents..

Chris

Ps @ 6psi without an air filter/ and with my valve springs fixed im damn close to 500rwhp on a mustang dyno through an m6 with 4.10 gears.. 8 psi should put me mid 5's easy. I will probably tune it very rich, and safeish around 500.

It all boils down to whether he should be t4 or t6 based.

^ You have to think about modifying in the future too before you make that commitment.
