Default Tial 50 w/ centri

I have a Tial 50 on my car that has a A&A Vortech kit which has a FMIC and the BOV is before the intercooler and is not a by-pass valve and was not disigned to be in my kit. My question is there a way to adjust the Tial BOV? It sounds good when you let off, but it is just super loud on decieleration (pushing a lot of air out). I would like to keep the Tial but if I cant adjust it then I might have to go back to a Vortech Race valve or similar.

I belive there is a diffrent spring you can get for it, but it is not going to be a BPV.

The bypass valve is open during part throttle to move air that the blower is moving. The blow off valve is not open and is causing air to surge out of the compressor. This is mild case of surging, when bov's do not open on super high boost cars, the compressor wheel tends to change shapes

I just installed one as well 2 springs so far and still surging when cruising at constant speed, or at idle... added some air flow at idle but I still have issues. I'm pulling my hair out on this one... pic below... any info I find, I'll gladly share, I'm on the hunt...

iTS EXACTLY WHAT YOU SAID...... There NOT designed to work with SC.

A BOV and Bypass can be used on a Turbo setup....... but not on a SC.

Use a Bypass.

I know exactly what your talking about... had one on my 1st setup 5 yrs ago.. a Tial... sold it and went with the Vortech Mondo.

I know have the ATI Race Bypass on my Turbo setup and LOVE It.

If you are getting compressor surge, you need to remove springs to reduce the sealing pressure.

My bypass isn't sufficient so I'm going to see what this one does, if no dice then I'll move on.

We sell quite a bit of the race valves, even to the turbo guys. Its a huge opening with a billet body, along with a teflon seat for proper seal.
The reason they sell the springs for the bov's is to combat the intake manifold vacum, ex having 10in of vac on the top side will suck the valve up, they need a certain spring to resist this, but under fast decell or throttle lift it will have more then 10in so it will open, along with however much boost it will open FAST.
