Default Replacement alternative to feed and return plastic lines

Need some help, i am in the process of replacing my stock fuel pump with a racetronix and am a little skeptical of reusing the stock plastic hoses. I thought i heard a crack when removing the hose off the fuel tank. Cant see anything. Since gm discontinued the factory ones and i do not have the time to drop this tank again, I'm looking for a permanent solution. I modified a fuel assembly once on a neon and did a return line. I plan on passing this car onto my son so looking for a permanent fix. I see some have gone an fittings to a metal line than I'm assuming high pressure fuel lines. I know i cam clamp the one side on the fuel filter. Just looking to see how others have gone about this

Dorman makes alot of fuel line repair parts, for both nylon and steel line, usually available from jobber parts houses that supply repair shops
http://www.dormanproducts.com/gsearc...el+line+repair
we have a race car builder locally here that carries 20ft lengths of straight fuel line too, you may ask around your area to find a similar source

I used the newer Russell EFI fittings & Aeroquip push lock hose, worked great.. Part #'s are 644123 (3/8 to -6) & 644113 (5/16 to -6).. You'll need two of each fitting, pusk lock hose & four -6 push lock hose ends.
