Default Best fuel pump for E85

Hello. As the title states I'm looking for a fuel pump compatible with E85. I'm only looking to feed 600-650rwhp.

I like the aeromotive 340 stealth pump but have heard of it failing with E85. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I second this post...what fuel pump and size injectors for e85. Im running 13 to 1 compression as well. Should be 600+ hp. What size injector are you running OP? Right now I have the Aeromotive 1000 fuel pump.

Walbro 400/450lph e85 compatible pump and 14v hot wire kit. ID850s or similar size. Make sure you use 10ga wire and a relay rated for the pumps amperage. Don't use no name relays!

Right now my fuel system is stock besides a 255. Upgrades coming this winter. I did the math and I need around 40lb/hr to feed 500rwhp n/a

Do you have any use for the equation for injector sizing?

I'm running dual 340's and have heard of others failing. To try and combat this I'm running a lower base fuel pressure of 37lbs with a 1:1 fpr and 2000cc injectors. It's been fine on e85 all last year and pickled the system over the winter with 93oct. When speaking to Lonnie he mentioned that those that have had pump failure are due to the pump working too hard at higher base pressures and burning up.

Is that with boost or no boost? You should be looking at dual pumps with boost. 127lb/hr injectors and dual walbro 450s will cary you up to about 25psi of boost and support about 1000rwhp at that level with a base pressure of 60psi.

Dual 340s with 96lb injectors will support about 750rwhp up to about 20psi before you start dropping pressure.

Those injectors are way too big for those pumps, or the pumps are way too small depending on how you look at it.

Those injectors are good for about 1150rwhp at a 37psi base, but you will be dropping pressure as soon as you put any boost to it. The pumps at that pressure flow about the same as the injectors at that level, but fall off while the injectors stay constant.

Moving to dual walbro 450s with the same everything else will carry you up to about 30psi without dropping pressure. But really those injectors are a big mismatch to the pumps. You really need a lot of pump to feed those injectors, triple 450s at a 55psi base raises your injector max power to about 1450rwhp and will carry that pressure to about 30psi of boost. Triple 340s at a 40psi base will carry them to 30psi of boost and be at 1230rwhp range.

It won't be boosted. Just a H/C/I with a little spray car.

Ah, ok. 96lb injectors at a base pressure of 60 psi would be a good match for a MP-4303. Good for about 750rwhp on the corn.

80lb injectors with the same pump and pressure would be 620rwhp.

My fuel pressure rises when in boost with about a 71% duty cycle on the injectors up to 20psi. I've not had an issue, but I'm not making a ton of power either. I should be good to a little over 1000whp on e85 with this setup.

Yea, my math in the previous post was based on a 95% IDC. With a lower IDC the pumps are able to keep up much easier since the injectors are effectively smaller.
