Pumping gas

Pumping gas
So I recently bough my SS and the first time to pump gas came and I never really thought about it and pumped 87. Well this was done last night and tonight it just didnt run the same. I called the previous owner and he said the car had only seen 93 octane fuel- he and the previous owner never put anything else. Im hoping this is the reason why the car ran a bit sluggish... Any thoughts ? What do you guys pump? Im guessing 93 Octane and now I feel bad for my car since I pumped 87 . Its not because its cheap its just the thing I had pumped forever so when it came down to it I never thought about it.
Should I let the tank get as low as possible so I can put 93 all over again ? Thanks guys

Yea, I feel dumb now. Im going to take it easy on this tank and go back to premium when Im through with it.
Should I worry about damaging the engine because of this gas? Or just let it be and change gas next time ? Thanks guys

Would this lead to the car running a bit sluggish?? Having never run on 87 and then having to run on it?
Im contemplating draining it.
I think I should be more specific. The throttle response felt a little slower than before. That's what was different...

YES. It will run different with 87.
When the ECM picks up slight detonation (pings), which it will on 87, it retards the timing. Runs sluggish.
Just drive it down to about a half tank and fill-r-up with premium.
Good luck Bill.

I'd drive it really easy and DON'T go WOT. That could damage something. IF you are feeling really worried about the situation, syphen out the tank and go straight to some 93. There are syphening pumps that you can buy in an auto store that should make it easy to do. Just need somewhere to put all that gas.
The PCM retards the timming to get detonation under control. BUT, the motor has to detaonate 1st inorder for the Knock-sensors to go off. IT's OK every once in a while, but you are definitly going to have real knock going on and that will damage something in the long run.
If you stay under about 10-15% throttle, the 87 won't hurt anything. But above that it'll start knocking right away.
