Default add another S60 to the list :D

It came in on Thursday but due to a few things out of my control I just got it home

its a monster compared to the 7.75" you see behind it

it has the ls1 ends but I had the 3rdgen width so its almost 2" shorter on each end than a 4th gen

Im going to be using my thirdgen brakes. I just double checked and they will bolt up great correct offset and the rotors even fit the axle correctly (some of my friends with 9" moser axles have had to turn the ends down slightly)

just a few things I need to do befor I install the backing plates

Nice!! What a beast!

Still can't decide between S60 or 9"....need to make a few phone calls. Can you get these with Aluminum centers to knock a few pounds off?

This style of axle is totally different than a 9 inch so there is no removeable center section.

well despite the weight I got it in by myself. just have to wait for a few items to hook up the brakes, bleed them and go through the heat cycles.

I have to say I was a bit surprised to see the rear came with new endlinks and the bolts for the swaybar. everything lined right up for a strait up install. bolt holes were the correct sizes and so on....

Yup, I just got mine in too. The install is harder physically than it is technically. Even the emergency brake shoes and actuators bolt right up.

I was surprised the endlinks came with the package also... a nice little add on. I'm almost done with my install. I will be ordering my Strange driveshaft from you soon, Carl.
Thanks again for your wonderful customer service.

Thanks for the kind words!
Oh, I've done more research on the driveshaft, have some more options now! You might like them.

wasn't it in 89 they updated the crappy factory disks, to the less crappy version? or was it later?

curious why you didn't take the advantage to swap in some 4th gen disks?

jealous of the s60 though! someday.

yeah its got the pbr brakes very very similar to the ones on lt1 cars.. alot of people say 89 was the year they came out but it was really mid or so 88 .

never had an issue with the pbr brakes on any of the cars I had so I dont see a reason to go to ls1 brakes. If I were to upgrade brakes I would put the 1le fronts on like my other formula or maybe bigger yet on the front

Thanks
