Default 4.10 Gears for my 99 Z28

I am looking into putting a set of 4.10s into my 10 bolt rear in my Camaro. As you can see in my sig, it is a 99 Z28, WITHOUT TCS. I was looking in Speed Inc to see what these will run me, and I saw that there were a few different companies that offer these gears.

http://www.speedinc.com/catagory.cfm.../%20Driveshaft

Allstar performance: $160
-Says these fit 27 spline axles?

Motive Gears: $190

Richmond: $200

Are any of these better than the other? Are some of these known for premature failures (more than the other - I know this only for a 10 bolt lol).

Thanks for the help!

1/8th mile I take it? I am looking to run at least a 7.9x with just bolt-ons with the 4.10s. Good to hear that your ten bolt is holding to some pretty good times. You do any of the 'upgrades' such as the spacer instead of the crush sleeve, differential girdle, etc?

No hell no not worth the money. I neglected to tell you that when I sprayed it two pass's later it broke the posi unit. Held fine on the motor into the 6's though. First time I sprayed it I had a bad burnout and it spun hard but it went 6.90 @ 109mph. Burnout is real crucial on my et street radials. Im building a 9" now.

Bump. So is there any strength/quality differences between the Motive gears and Richmond gears? Thanks.

I would go with a GM Yukon gear, suppose to be a good quiet street gear.

I am really leaning toward Motive actually. Everyone seems to have good results with those.

I bought richmonds oringinally...took them back a week later after reading countless threads on gear whine...I'm picky and didn't want to even chance it. So I got motives. They were installed this last thursday...awesome..not even a hint of whine...get them...

ws6 store...gears, master/deluxe install kit, (you'll need it),differential fluid, 2 quarts gear oil ran me 337$

Any suggestions on where I can get some of those YUKON gears without going to a junk yard or dealership?

Yukon gears are aftermarket and are distributed through Randy Ring and Pinion. Most speed shops and vendors carry them.
