Default LSX logo engraved Diff Cover...

Got a pic of how my Diff Cover came out with the LSX logo...Wish it could've been stretched a lil more length wise but oh well still adds a custom touch....

Might be a cool thing to hang on the wall after a catastrophic failure too bad its so thick. the stamped cover i had a tooth sticking through from the ring gear

LSX = and a cover with teeth poking out

Looks good but yeah I never thought I'd see "10bolt" and "LSx" in the same sentence.

In his sig he has an S10, in those they hold up decent compared to the f-bodies, don't get me wrong they still aren't strong, but they hold up a little better in the trucks

Not that I can tell from the picture but -

Some s10s came with an 8.5" 10 bolt which would happen to be a completely different rear from the one that comes in an f-body.

Exactly...It's a 8.5" 10 bolt with fully welded axle tubes to center section , 3.73s Yukon Gears ,Eaton Posi , Powdercoated Mirror Black , Billet Moser 1350 pinion yoke , Timken/Yukon bearings and seals , 30 spline axles , w/ disc brakes (soon to be C6 Z06 brakes)...It'll hold up IMO...More negative comments than I would've thought originally but hey no hard feelings...

There not negative comments. I just have a strong hate to the 10 bolt. It made me spend a lot of money sure it will do fine for you.

^^^haha gotcha....I've spent a lot on this rearend so that it won't break...Probably could've spent the same or a lil less on a complete bolt in Ford 9in for a S10 from Spohn though....

I think the hate was purely for the 7.5 rear end

I like the diff cover though, how much does it cost to get something like that done??

BTW you should paint the "X" red

There are many many people who have been running single digit ETs for years on 8.5s in x bodies.

Old tech really XD. The 8.5" 10 bolt is essentially a 12 bolt with a .375" smaller ring gear. The general uses them in every application under 3/4 ton where they don't feel like replacing rear ends free under warranty.

Yeah I've seen lots of 7.5/7.625s rears destroyed. It only costed $75 although it did take me forever to find a place to do it. If anyone's interested I can telll ya the guys email info. Oh and he can tool any logo you want onto it as long as it fits. I thought about painting the X red or just polishing the machined surface...

I vote for the red X, should look really good. And 8.5 rears are pretty good in my opinion. They hold up pretty good in stock form let alone built.
