Default Moser 9" Wavetrac Diff Problem?

So I just installed my Moser 9" with a wavetrac diff & when I make right turns something is vibrating like crazy! Even when I turn the steering wheel slightly to the right it goes crazy. I know that they make noises but I wasn't expecting this? Two of the studs are a little crooked but I wouldn't think that would cause all the noise? Any ideas.... Oh yea & I love my new rear end!

Check to make sure the torque arm mount is not rubbing on the bottom of the chassis. There are two places where it typically rubs at, and if you shove a pry bar up in these areas you can nudge the floors sheet metal away. If it is rubbing, it tends to make more noise when turning. The Wavetrac should make zero noises. Bob

What would cause it to rub now then before when I had my 10 bolt?

the lugs should not be crooked.

I know it sounds crazy
but when you mounted the wheel back on, was the rear hanging down?

maybe the rim was up against the bumpstop and not actually fully seated against the axle.

Looks pretty centered to me? Haha its just both sides don't really have a lot of breathing room for the tires now compared to when I had my 10 bolt. The front of the rear inner fender is def touching the tire & the driver side inner fender has like a finger nail of length between the tire & fender. I mean I guess when I get a chance bang out the inner fenders some more. I'm not driving it that's for sure. Surprised the tire did pop. I mean I guess I can try taking pics if that makes it a better visual for you guys?

I bet it is an inch shorter per side than normal, as the tires should normally be where they are with the old 10 bolt. A lot of people order these rears slightly shorter and use a different offset wheel. Bob

Is it normal for a clunk noise every time I upshift? But when I downshift its fine. Also there's a whining every time I give it some throttle when I'm on the hwy?

No, there should be no clunks. Are you sure this rear that you bought from a friend actually has a Wavetrac?
The first thing I would do is check your universal joints and then the torque arm. A little gear whine is to be expected with performance gears. Bob

So I ran into a problem couple nights ago when I went to the strip. After I made a pass & pulled off the track I could hear my passenger side was rubbing again pretty bad. When I got back to the parking lot I did some turns & U turns and could tell it was def rubbing. Then I heard this pop noise. So I stopped asked a fellow guy if he could let me use his jack so I could take my tire off & check it out. It was really rubbing on the rim right above where the bump stop is. So I banged it in some more put back on my tire. Did some more turns & U turns. Heard another pop noise. But wasn't rubbing any more. But every time I would turn you could hear a squeaking noise? I mean I drove it an hour & half back home so its drivable but just some squeaking problem & I don't know why it had that rubbing problem after it was fine before I got to the strip... any thoughts?

The panhard bar locates the rear side to side, I'd check it out to see if it is bent. Bob
